Dear DD2,

I'm sorry about the soy sauce on the sushi Saturday night. I really didn't think that tiny little amount of soy would bother you, I was wrong. I'm so sorry you've had 3 days of pain because of it. :(

PS - If it's 3 am and I'm exhausted, it's really really OK to pee in your diaper if I cue you to. You don't mind occasionally peeing in your diaper during the day, why do you squirm and fuss and insist on the potty at night? When mommy's exhausted, she dumps a potty full of pee all over both of us and then we're both unhappy.


Dear DH,

Yes, you hear me getting up to potty the baby in the middle of the night. I appreciate your help, but when you cue her to pee (in your sleep, I think) and I haven't grabbed the potty yet, I end up with a warm, wet lap.
