setting standards

Low standards, that is.

I made pumpkin muffins today, so we have something to grab for breakfast if we lose power tonight during the snow storm. I used the wrong flour and they turned out flat, dense and slightly underdone. But the kids are used to my awesome baking skills (note the mild sarcasm there) so any baked goods are fine with them. They scarfed down the muffins, "mmm, thank you mommy!"

We have the alphabet taped to the dining room wall, along with a picture of an item starting with each letter. Brandon and Natalya were just standing there looking at it, whispering back and forth trying to figure something out. Brandon turned around and said "What's that, mommy? The thing beside the M?" Doh. "That's a mop, honey. It's used to clean floors." Yes, I have a mop, I'm pretty sure. Well, fairly sure. Kind of. Maybe in the garage somewhere?

And the 2 year old just pooped on the floor. Awesome. Potty training rocks.

Hey, better than me. I don't actually have a mop...no wait. I've got a reusable swiffer-like microfiber thingy. Does that count? I can use that with water and vinegar so it's technically mopping right?

Anyway...what with the toddler pooping on the floor I guess it's a good thing you've got a mop. :P
