I'm meeeelllllltttting.....

It's not the heat or the humidity, it's the lack of air conditioning. Have I mentioned that I loathe the heat? At least I do when I don't have a nice, cool, air-conditioned house to go back home to. Even though there would only be a few days a year I would need it, on days like today (100 degrees) I think it would be worth it to have a portable air conditioner or even a *gasp* window unit. It's absolutely miserable upstairs. I'm hot and cranky, the kids are hot and cranky, it's too hot to sleep upstairs so it's going to be a fun night.

We've been trying to stay cool by spending our days outside, it's much nicer outside than it is in the house. We spend a few days a week at the park and the rest out in the backyard. Yesterday Brandon decided to explore the grate that covers the fire pit.



He looks so old to me in this picture. More like a little boy and less like a toddler. *sniff* Insert mommy crisis here.

He is also insisting on picking out his own clothes now. Take, for example, this lovely outfit.



The combo of the tie-dyed t-shirt and camouflage pants is lovely but I think it's the purple flowered leg warmer on his arm that makes the outfit.
