playing with Tinker Toys

So, I have this nice skein of Peace Fleece in Volgassippi Blue. I was planning to make it into a pair of shorties for Natalya, the skein just needed to be wound into a ball first.

I start to wind the ball but with the help of the kids and a couple cats, the skein went from looking like this:


to a tangled mess like this:


The picture doesn't do justice to the tangles and knots, wow. It took a couple hours to get it untangled. I didn't want to try to wind another ball without a swift but I don't have a swift. I like immediate gratification so I didn't want to wait and buy one online so I hit up Brandon's Tinker Toys.





It's not pretty but at least it got the job done.
